I grew up in Waterproof, LA. It’s a little country town north of Natchez, MS but south of Monroe, LA. It's a great place to grow up in. You have a church on every street and Christians on every block. Everyone knows everyone. My mother is the wonderful, beautiful, intelligent, CaSandra A. Bottley. She is a native of Waterproof, LA also. My father, Robert Bethel, III, resides in Waterproof also. I have one (1) brother, Brian D. Bottley, One (1) sister, Amanda R. Bethel of Killeen, TX. I have a few family members that I wish to acknowledge: Emma & Roosevelt Bottley, Cherrie Ambrose, McKensy Turner, Ted Bottley, Fred Barden, Edward G. Turner, Orlean T. Washington (RIP), Cleandrew Barden (RIP), Louise Bethel, and other Turner/Bottley relatives.

In 1996, Dr. Bottley received a precious gift from God as recorded in Acts 2:38:  “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST.”  He became a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature”) and fell in love with serving God and spreading the gospel.  Through the years he has taught Sunday school, served on official boards, worked in the music ministry and outreach ministry at his home church under the leadership of the honorable Rev. James Beverly and has taught youth ministry.

In 2000 Dr. Bottley was called to the preaching ministry.  Five years later, in 2005, he received and accepted the call to start a ministry.  The same year, with the blessing and support of his pastor Rev. Beverly, he started a state-wide ministry.  Three short months later, Rev. Robinson recommended that Dr. Bottley serve as Youth Minister at various places.  Dr. Bottley accepted this call with the unction to take the mission of various church branches. That mission is “to reach the masses with the gospel, making them worshipping, witnessing disciples of Jesus Christ.” The mission will be made manifest with his new charge. Since his initial calling to preach the gospel, Dr. Bottley has traveled throughout Louisiana and numerous other states proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2004 the Lord led Rev. Dr. Bottley to strengthen what has become the Tensas' oldest & best black-dominated gospel choir, Greenfield B. C. Choir. This choir has been home to many great soloists including: Pastor Aaron Germany, Evg. Daisy Germany, Emma Bottley, the late Rev. P. M. Germany, Rebecca McMillan, Min. Barbara Ellis, Shirley King, Flousella Johnson, the late Mother Willie Mae Germany and many others.

In 1993 Dr. Bottley sang his first song with his grandmother. The project was established by his grandmother, Emma Bottley, and was entitled “Stepped-Out”. Since then he has song over 50 songs, many of them were performed at various places, and has participated in numerous vocal projects with other national artists. He has participated in weddings, funerals, numerous extravaganzas, and a host of other gospel spreading. As a dynamic praise and worship leader, the music of Dr. Bottley is rooted and grounded in a deep and sincere desire to worship God with his whole heart.

Dr. Jarrod Bottley is currently married to Loreal D. Bottley. She assists Bottley with any and everything that he has to do dealing with school, family or even ministering situations. Their plans are to continue to strengthen their bountiful love, give birth to two and purchase a 10 bedroom home in Baton Rouge, LA. He is a Louisiana tutor, and is a fellow of U. S. Baptist Association, a member of the American Christian Society, the National Ministers Organization, the Gospel Music Association, the National Academy of Vocalists, and the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Dr. Bottley serves on the Board of the Tensas Baptist Association and teaches Principles of Worship and New Testament Information.

The purpose of Dr. Bottley's ministry is to glorify God, edify the Church and win the lost to Christ. His ministry is one of encouragement, instruction, salvation, enlightenment, deliverance, worship and praise. He believes that nothing is impossible to those who believe, and that nothing is too hard for him to accomplish.

Presently, Bottley resides in East Baton Rouge Parish proclaiming the word of God. He attends True Vine Baptist, Mt Guillion Baptist, and others. He is traveling to and from various locations near and far preaching and teaching men, women, boys and girls about the goodness of God. Although he’s a young preacher, he has accomplished much through his short life span. Where ever he goes, he is well recognized by all origins of humanity. He stands out among the crowd and is well rooted in believing that before you can have friends, you must first show yourself friendly. After a short conversation with numerous people concerning the life of Bottley, they said that there isn’t anyone who they could say whose around his age that can deliver a message, raise a low spirit or embrace you warmly with a smile like Jarrod. Acknowledged by peers and advisors, Bottley is known as a local celebrity in the gospel industry. His spiritual goal is to pastor a 20,000 member church.
